So, I have been wanting to try cleansing balms for a while now, since I was bored using my same Garnier Oil based micellar water since years. Luckily as the Garnier one was getting over, I tried my hands on the Plum E-Luminence Cleansing Balm, The Clinique one was intriguing but “ bahot costly hai bhai” :P. (Will give a try may be in future).
I bought this one from Amazon when I was on my India trip. It retails for around Rs.549/- for a 90-gm tub.
PACKAGING, TEXTURE & FORMULA
The packaging is sturdy not too bulky and comes in a sleek plastic tub with a small spatula to scoop out the product.
The texture is thick and waxy, but melts down instantaneously when spread and massaged into the skin. And also feels soft and gentle on the skin. I did not find the texture to be grainy.
It has the goodness of Shea Butter that delivers deep moisturization, Sunflower Seed Oil works as a skin hydrator and Kokum Butter that is extremely hydrating. Its free from all kinds of sulphates, silicones, parabens in short, all nasties.
MY REVIEW
The Plum E – Luminence Cleansing Balm melts effortlessly on the skin and emulsifies beautifully.
I always wear my eyeliner and mascara that is waterproof and I need products that would melt down the residue. Plum’s Cleansing Balm does just that, when massaged into the skin I just need to use my makeup removing cloth, one or two swipes and everything comes off instantly. The fresh clean feeling that it gives is unmatchable.
One thing that irritates me is that , it stings the eye. In case you happen to get the product in the eye, then you are bound to cry. So just need to be careful.
Even with my Garnier Oil based micellar water, my skin feels oily even after a face wash. But I did not experience any oiliness after using Plum’s Cleansing balm.
I always like to double or triple cleanse to remove any of my makeup and with this it definitely gives a clean fresh look.
I will definitely repurchase this one.
