I must admit that I used to always neglect the eye contour area and only started taking care of it 2-3 years back. Being an Engineering Mumbai University Ranker and all the struggle over the years to achieve where I am today (Allhumdullilah for everything) did take a toll and obviously the eyes are where it all gets reflected. I’ve been getting under eye peels done through my dermatologist for the past 3 years to be specific and it has definitely helped with the under eye darkness. But I feel this delicate eye area needs hydration , nourishment and a little more care as well. So , I decided that taking care of that very delicate area could make a big difference in the Look and Feel of my skin.
Lately, I am more drawn towards K-Beauty. I guess Instagram and my sister who is a Korean addict is having a lot of impact these days on my product selection and buying LOL.
I am not only using K-Beauty masks but also some of the toners, serums and moisturizers and I am totally hooked.
Earlier I was using Garnier Eye Patches which worked pretty well to provide hydration and later I came across this Brand called Petitfee obviously through Instagram’s Sponsored post which is a K-beauty brand and they are available in India. Instead of choosing the right product for myself, I thought to contact the brand directly through their Instagram DM and their team was super kind and helpful in letting me know what would work for my needs.
So let me tell you what my concerns were, I told them I have dry,dehydrated skin with dark circles , crows feet and puffiness and they told me to go for GOLD.(LOL.. I remembered this dialog from the movie PLAYERS where Abhishek Bacchan’s aim is to GO FOR GOLD..Please excuse this off the topic line.. :D) Anyways these patches are not magic and you have to be consistent in using them. They even asked me to use it either daily or on alternate days as the serum dries out with 2 months.
These retail for INR 1,599/- and has 60 patches available i.e a set of 30 for a months usage or 2 months if you are using it on alternate days. Its also available on Amazon.in , but I got mines from this K-beauty site firstskinn.com
And as I am typing this review, I already have a set of these applied onto my under-eyes.
These patches are filled with so many good and natural ingredients that work to make the skin glowing, hydrated and supple in the area under the eyes. For this, they use ingredients like gold, ginseng, collagen, bird’s nest extract (this for example is a really luxurious ingredient as it is quite difficult to obtain).
I really appreciated the minimal yet beautiful gold packaging . The patches are immersed in so much essence , and even if they are extracted from the pack and placed on the skin you will still feel that they are full of serum/essence. They also don’t have a strong odor , in fact I quite like the mild fragrance it has. Furthermore, they are easy to apply . A small spatula is also included in the package , to separate them and facilitate their application. But let’s talk about what I loved the most.
I usually keep all my masks in refrigerator and this one is no exception. If I know I am going to have a long day ahead or feel dullness/dryness around my eyes I just pop these onto my under-eyes and continue with my work(Now that I am wfh). This definitely reduces puffiness, soothes the area under the eyes and provides immediate hydration. While I do not expect anything to work for my Crows feet other than Botox and I did not have any such expectation with this one as well. But I do notice a very minimal brightness it gives my under eye area.
Long continuous hours of work in front of the laptop and also being on my phone most of the times, I feel these patches come in handy and I will definitely recommend for you guys to try them once, because they fit in with that dynamic, fast forwarding lifestyle that we live in and they are perfect for an instant hydration.
And as they say that the eyes are the mirror of the soul, and some people even consider them as one of the most attractive and sensual parts of the body. So why not take proper care of it? And Why not treat ourselves at least twice or thrice a week with these Patches, which will not only stimulate our eye contour, but also lift our mood?
