Hellooiiee Beauties,
I know I am tooooo late in reviewing this duo from Maybelline’s Fit Me Range, But better late than UGLY 😛 So Today’s post is about this most loved drugstore Concealer and Foundation duo from Maybelline and one of my favorites too.
I got this babyllines from Beauty Center @Crawford Market while we were shopping for my brother’s enagagement, No no my brother doesn’t apply these 😀 . We had actually gone to shop some makeup stuff for my “hone wali Bhabi” and I wanted to try on these Fit Me Range as they were just launched in India. I believe there are only a few shades available so after some trial and error I went on with this shade Sand Salable 20 for concealer which is one tone lighter than my actual skin tone and Sun Beige for the foundation which is a close match but somewhat on a darker side.
It comes in a transparent glass bottle with a black screw cap. It does not have an applicator, So you just need to pour the amount required. It has a semi-runny like consistency. I like to pour some on the back of my hand, and apply in dots format all over my face with my PAC Beauty Blender. The finish it gives is just great . Since I have dry skin I was hesitant that this matte foundation would make my skin look worse. But the way it blends and gives a dewy finish I am just in love. I still need to find a perfect shade for my skin tone with this range since in India we have only 6 shades available and that I think would be a next task 😀
It comes in a slim, long ,plastic tube with a black cap and has a doe-foot applicator. With a creamy consistency it works on to provide medium to full coverage depending on application. I needed this concealer to cover up my dark circles and with zero knowledge of color correcting/concealing initially I went on with applying it as it is over my foundation and was horrified to see the way I was looking . Somehow I managed to blend blend blend and then set it with a compact and tadaaa..!!! it worked. Though it did not fully correct/cover up my dark circles but it managed to reduce them visibly.
Later on after learning some color correcting techniques through You tube videos ,I now use it on top of my L.A Girl Orange Corrector. I do have fine lines under my eyes and this concealer does settle under my crease and so I need to set my under eyes with a compact or some loose powder.
Overall, with the packaging, price point Rs.500 for Foundation and Rs.525 for Concealer and a natural looking duo I think it’s a nice bet .
I believe everyone is in love with this drugstore duo and I am definitely one.
Till my next post Be Masha’Allah .
XOXO ,
Saniya <3
