If you’ve read my previous post on Dot & Key’s HA Serum you would know how much I loved it and I was expecting the same thing with this one and it was one of the reason I went ahead and purchased this time reversal retinol serum.
Forget about exceeding ,But did it even meet the expectations I had for it ? Read on to find more.
Time Reversal Retinol Serum is an age restricted product I.e only people over 28 years of age can use it. Which to me sounds fair and since I’ve hit my 30 last year I was OK to give it a try.
As we know cell turnover begins by late 20’s , in my case I believe it hit in my mid 20’s .LOL and that means our skin start losing its elasticity and that ‘s when we experience first signs of ageing.
This product is formulated potent anti oxidants and anti-ageing elements like Tripeptides and Retinol, it slows down skin ageing by capturing free radicals and promoting collagen regeneration and cell growth.
Its also infused with a blend of Rosehip, Ylang Ylang & Geranium Oils, and highly moisturizing vitamin E & A, and it claims that this serum increases skin bounce and plumpness by providing intense hydration along with retexturizing skin while assisting in wrinkle recovery.
The packaging is all pastel pinky which I like alot , and its their regular icy bottle that is made of plastic with a dropper for dispensing the product . Dot & Key’s packaging never disappoints.
The texture is similar to their HA variant but this one contains Helichyrsum and Rosehip oil and I guess that is one reason for the fragrance, although it is not overpowering and fades quickly.
Coming onto my review, I used it in the PM as part of my night time skin care routine for close to 4-5 weeks,and this product other than hydrating did nothing to my skin in terms of improving elasticity or lines or fading dark spots. Although I agree it contains alot of wonderful ingredients but for me I think the formulation did not work well . I’d rather stick to my Minimalist’s Retinoid Serum.
To summarize , I feel to invest in a product that is around 1195 INR is totally not worth it when there are no results, and with results I do not intend to say drastic changes but atleast a few.
I do love some of their other products including their Underarm, Knee and Elbow Mask along with their makeup remover balm and will not hesitate to buy them, but this one in particular was a waste of money.
