Blur India Call me Daddy Lipsticks review

So I had never heard of this brand before, and my Instagram scrolling led me to one of their sponsored posts which had these lipsticks , whose packaging seemed quite similar to that of Maybelline lifter glosses, which I am yet to get my hands on.

The name of this collection gives me that Fifty Shades of Kinky Grey Vibes…LMAAOOOO.

Coming on to the packaging and texture, The packaging is what I loved the most. Simple and chic , with a doe foot applicator. The texture is smooth .

This collection has 3 lipstick in it and I own all 3 of them. The shade names are just 1,2 &3.

Shade 1 – Seems like a pinky more on the side of mauvy nude and it has to be the least favourite of mine. I am not sure what the issue is with this particular shade that it keeps flaking after getting dried. Refer to the pic shared. Even on the hand swatches you can see how dried it looks and the flaky particles.

Shade 2 – On the website it describes this shade as beige but to me it appears as a more peachy pink nude and it has to be my favorite from the range. These are not completely opaque, you need to apply atleast twice or thrice to get that perfect finish.But I feel such lipsticks the more layers you apply the more flaky it tends to get.

Shade 3– Is again a peachy undertone with brown hints, like I said you wont get perfect pigmentation in the first application, and when you go to apply the second coat it will disturb the first coat.

These claim to be transfer proof but unfortunately they do transfer.

All in all I could only make shade-2 work for me and it looks gorgeous on me , no doubt on that. You definitely need to use a lip-balm underneath for these lipsticks to work.

But I think BlurIndia which is a new emerging brand can definitely re-formulate their lipsticks and give their lipstick some makeover in terms of texture ,formulation and staying power.

I also received their vegan mascara free with the purchase which I am yet to try
