CHEMICAL EXFOLIATORS I’VE USED

We all agree that Skin texture is a real beauty pain, when there’s a swamp of flawless photos and videos all around social media.

Nonetheless that is what real beauty is, Its all about skin textures, pores, scarring and everything that we do not want to like.

Still, we all need to appreciate that and take care of it.

So Today, I’ll be sharing some of the chemical exfoliating products that I’ve been using for smooth, even skin.

Obviously exfoliation is key to a smoother complexion and these products here can be used once or twice a week to maintain that smoothness.

First up let’s talk about my beloved  Minimalist AHA 25% + PHA 5% + BHA 2% | INR 699 | All Indian Beauty/SkinCare junkies know that Minimalist is the dupe for TheOrdinary . And Whatever the controversies be regarding Plagiarism or anything , I am least interested and only interested in what the product is delivering. For me this worked far better than TheOrdinary AHA/BHA Peel. Minimalist’s AHA BHA PHA not only exfoliates but also provides hydration maintaining the perfect pH balance. I’ve used it for my neck and body but not on my face .You simply use this on gently, leave it for about 10 minutes and then rinse it. You may get a slight sensation using this but if it becomes too much – definitely wash it off a bit sooner(Please do a patch test ). To be specific it did not work for reducing my pores but made the overall skin look a lot smoother.

Next one is the all raved and craved Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant | INR 2700 | Before purchasing a full size of this one I tried the mini-version and before I could come to any conclusion I ran out of the product , hence thought of investing in the full size version. It contains Salicylic acid which is a pore-penetrating BHA, chemically exfoliating and reduce breakouts of the skin. Although it helps in clearing up the pore congestion by penetrating into the skin layers , my dry skin was not able to tolerate it and started flaking with continuous usage. And I would like to blame myself for over using this product, since I was so fed up of the KP(Keratosis Pilaris) on my arms and legs that I went ahead and used this twice daily. And mind you people , do not go overboard with such exfoliants , they tend to do more harm than good. All in all I would say I quite liked the product and enjoyed using it, But considering the price point for this one, I would try considering some other Indian brand once I finish up this one.

Lastly, its the universal famous The Ordinary’s Glycolic Acid Toner | UK 7 £ | I need not blabber about this alot as we all know the hype for this one. Glycolic acid is probably the most famous AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) of the bunch; a fruit-derived chemical exfoliator often found in leave-on products like toners and serums. AHA’s effectively breaks apart what holds together dead cells on the skin’s surface so this layer is removed to reveal more radiant skin. Not only does it give an instant glow-boost but it also helps the appearance of scarring and uneven skin tone, as well as leaving your skin feeling softer and smoother. I am already impressed with this one product from the range of TheOrdinary’s exfoliants/toners and it is a staple in my stash.

Again I’d like to re-iterate that none of the above mentioned products I’ve used on my face, and its only on my body I.e my neck, arms and legs.

Here’s a beautiful reel with the compilation.

Do you suffer from uneven skin/body texture? How do you deal with it?

Till next time, Be MashaAllah

XOXO <3
