Helloiee Makeup Squad,
Today’s post is going to be a haul about the most eye-catching range of makeup products from Colourpop Cosmetics . Ewww..I am sooooo excited to write about them. It is going to be a long post, so have a cup of coffee or tea along with you, sit back and read on 😛 .
Colourpop is a Cosmetic brand from the USA and their products are between 5 USD to 8 USD, which I think is quite affordable. ColourPop has spreaded its charm among all makeup lovers with their lovely white packaging and awesome product line. So After eyeing on ColourPop for a long time I decided that I definitely need them, and without much ado I ordered them through a colleague of mine since he was in the States, as in India we get them at double the rates through most of the Instagram sellers and I did not want to spend an extra money in buying these.
The most amazing thing about ColourPop is they send such cute hand written notes with lovely messages to each of their customers, but most people receive the same messages through their notes now that’s what some people do not like. But if you ask me, I love the hand written notes even if they have the same message I think it is a gesture to thank their customers . ColourPop if you happen to read this review please mention the name of the customer along with your lovely message, I think this will make their day 🙂
Let’s move towards the post now. So I happen to order 3 of their Matte X Lippie Stix, 1 Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick , 2 of their Super shock Eye shadows and an Eyebrow pencil. Upon signup I received a 5$ off coupon code which I had given to my colleague to use while placing the order . The delivery was through USPS ,since my order was above 30$ I got a free shipping ..yayyyiieee Also the order got delivered within 4-5 days of placing the order. But the products came into an envelope ,I mean who sends makeup products in an envelope this was disgusting . But Thank God none of the products were damaged. Now that’s being lucky 😛
So coming to the products, 3 of the Matte X Lippie Stix that I ordered were Trust Me, Poppin’ and Brink
Poppin’ : Is a Raspberry purple toned Matte Red again a really nice color to put up on your lips for a bold party makeup .
Brink : It is my least favorite color among the 3 . It is a brown nude shade, and this would most probably not suit all Asian skin tones unless you pop it up with a slightly dark colored lip liner beneath or on top. Also this one is not entirely matte in my opinion. It looks great in pictures that was the only reason I ordered it, but in person it does not suit me at all and looks pale. A straight NO from me just because how it turned up on my lips.
Trust Me : Is a True Red and I think the color is gorgeous and so is the packaging, but other than that there nothing more to it. It bleeds and transfers like anything which is really annoying.
Overall I do not recommend these Matte X Lippie Stix just because the way it bleeds and transfers.
Next up is the most famous ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick .
Bumble : I anyhow wanted at least one of the Ultra Matte Liquid Lipstick but after seeing so many videos and swatches and review I was totally confused as to which shade should I go for but there was a video forgot the channel’s name wherein the girl said if you are not able to decide on any of the colours go for BUMBLE and that is what I did and I do not regret my decision. Thanks to that YouTuber. Bumble as described is a dusty warm terracotta with a matte finish . In my opinion it is a muted brick reddish brown , a perfect matte. These do not transfer like the Lippie Stix but they do settle in fine lines.
Next on the list are the Superrrrr Shock Eyeshadows in shade Hustle and Weenie.
Hustle : It comes under their matte eye shadow range and Hustle is burgundy violet such a perfect and unique shade. I love how it turns out on the eyes.
Weenie : Is a coppery rose gold with metallic finish and this is by one of my favourite YouTuber Kathleen Lights collaboration from her “Where the night is” collection with ColourPop .
Last but not the least is the Brow Pencil in Bangin’ Brunette, perfect for this Casual Brunette 😉
Bangin’ Brunette : This is my first brow pencil purchase, and almost finished 😀 . A gorgeous dark brown shade perfect to fill in the brows with a great spoolie. Definitely recommended
And that was all folks , OhhhEmmmGee it was quite a long post.
Thank you for reading it.
Hope you guys loved the review and swatches. Let me know your thoughts below.
XOXO,
